A tea light holder left deliberately unfinished on the outside — the block is chiseled by hand rather than honed or polished, so every piece shows individual tool marks and the raw texture of the stone. The inside of the socket is smoothed for the candle, but the outer surface is left exactly as the chisel leaves it. No two pieces come out the same, which is the point: this is the most natural-looking item in our range, closer to quarried rock than to a finished home décor object.

About the Finish

Most of our candle holders are honed or polished on every surface. This design reverses that — only the inside of the socket is smoothed enough for safe, easy candle placement. The outside is worked with a hand chisel, leaving a rough, faceted surface with visible tool marks. This is a slower process than honing, since each face is shaped individually rather than machine-finished, and it means color and texture can vary more from piece to piece than in our polished lines.

Because the surface is rough rather than sealed and polished, it will show marks and shading over time more readily than a honed piece — buyers looking for a uniform, glossy finish should choose one of our other holders instead. Buyers looking for a natural, quarry-like object should find this is the better fit.

Colors (Pakistani Marble Only)

Only marble quarried in Pakistan — no imported stone. The rough chisel finish shows each color’s veining differently than a polished surface does, often making the texture and mineral banding more visible.

Ziarat White

Origin: Mohmand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Bright white with faint grey veining. The chiseled texture gives this color a chalky, quarry-stone look rather than its usual bright polish.

Sunny Grey

Origin: Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Soft, even grey with light veining. Reads as a plain fieldstone texture once chiseled.

Black & Gold

Origin: Lasbela, Balochistan
Black background with gold veining. The rough surface catches the gold veining at odd angles, making it glint rather than gleam.

Botticino

Origin: Widely quarried, Pakistan
Warm beige with light-brown veining. One of the most requested colors for this finish, since the texture suits its warmer tone.

Indus Gold

Origin: Balochistan
Gold and beige tones with darker veining. The chiseling deepens the contrast between the base color and the veins.

Teakwood

Origin: Balochistan
Brown, wood-grain banding. The roughest-reading of all eight colors once chiseled, closer to bark or aged timber.

Verona Beige

Origin: Khuzdar, Balochistan
Pale warm beige with fine veining. A softer, sandier texture once chiseled compared to Botticino.

Badal Grey

Origin: Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Deeper grey with a cloudy pattern. Loses its usual high polish entirely in this finish, reading as raw quarried stone.

Sized to fit a standard tea light. Because each piece is hand-chiseled rather than machine-cut, exact outer dimensions vary slightly piece to piece — figures below are approximate.

Manufacturing & Export

Manufacturing: Hand-chiseled at our Pakistan workshop from quarried block marble. Only the candle socket is smoothed; the outer surface is left as worked.

Consistency: Because this is a hand-finished process, expect natural variation in size, texture, and shading between pieces — this is intentional and not a defect.
